Subway Watersports was founded in 2001 by PADI OWSI Patrick Zingg (1969 - 2012). Patrick Zingg originally from Switzerland, started his PADI career as Divemaster in 1998, in order to achieve his goal of traveling extensively in Central America. He was very focused on gaining the knowledge he needed in order to open his own Dive Center on the beautiful Island of Roatan.

He worked for many years in several different Dive Centers on the Island, as both a dive instructor and a general manager before finally realizing his dream. Patrick opened Subway Watersports in 2001 with other business partner. As an owner of a 5 Star IDC Dive Resort, Patrick was able to use his influence and encouragement to create a platform for students to GoPro.

Turquoise Divers take great pride in providing some of the finest, new and best quality rental equipment on Roatan, We use mainly Scubapro dive gear one of the largest scuba equipment manufacturers in the world, reliable, strong, maintenance care by Scubapro certified technician on staff with years of experience.

Many divers may have questions about gear. No problem! We’ve listed several main features of the dive equipment provided through our MP shop:

• Our regulators are equipped with dive computers on their gauges, and wrist computers available for rent for divers who use their own equipment but need a dive computer replacement.
• Three-millimeter neoprene shorty’s long sleeve wetsuit available for rent, these wetsuits provide enough coverage for our warm water’s temperature between 79F – 84F degrees and accommodate BCD’s with weight integrated pockets.
• We offer aluminum 63, 80, 100cf tanks, yoke valves both air and Nitrox. All tanks are new and within their hydro and visual inspection up dates.
• Our Coltri and Bauer are filled using compressors equipped with three-phase electric motor and powerful pumping units. Nitrox is filled with a membrane that separates nitrogen and oxygen at atmospheric pressure until Nitrox 40%. Oxygen is obtained and can be compressed at a pressure of 232 bar in combination with a high pressure compressor.  If you have specific gear-related questions, please contact us.
